In mid-July 2020 we escaped the heat wave at home by taking our RV to El Capitan State Beach, just north of Goleta, CA.
This was our second time camping here, and we reserved the same campsite as before, one of the two best sites in the campground.
This distant view shows how spacious our campsite was, with no neighbors nearby.
Here's the view out our bedroom window. We were pleased with the new window awning that we recently installed. It's great to be able to block out some of the direct sun at certain times of day, or just a glary horizon.
We enjoyed playing games like Rummikub and Dominoes on our patio.
This game of Sequence was our longest ever, before Ann won with a wildcard Jack.
Each evening ended with a nice sunset. We were happy with our new string of battery-powered 'crackle glass' lights.
